Biography

My name is Kanyikirize Enid, and I have a diverse background in the field of Information Technology and Human Resource Management. I recently completed a training certificate course in Advanced Microsoft Excel from Houston Consulting Ltd. Prior to that, I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Makerere University. I also hold a certificate in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) from Makerere University, which showcases my expertise in computer networking. Furthermore, I have received UNEB certificates in Group examination in Secretarial Studies from the Institute of Adult and Continuing Education, Makerere University. Additionally, I possess a certificate in IDCL (International Computer Driving Licence) from Makerere University. To further enhance my skills, I have also earned a Certificate in Introduction to Computers and a Diploma in Stenography from Kampala College of Commerce and Advanced Studies. These qualifications have equipped me with a solid foundation in computer literacy and secretarial skills. Currently, I am working in the Directorate of Human Resource, where I utilize my technical knowledge and administrative abilities to support and optimize human resource processes. With my educational background and training, I am well-equipped to handle various IT-related tasks and contribute effectively to the overall success of the organization. My combination of technical expertise, HR knowledge, and administrative skills makes me a valuable asset in bridging the gap between technology and human resource management. I am passionate about leveraging technology to streamline HR processes and enhance organizational efficiency. In addition to my educational qualifications, I have gained practical work experience in various roles and organizations. I have worked as a Data Entrant at Women's Shelter Uganda (WOSU) as part of a one-year project. In this position, I was responsible for entering data and maintaining accurate records. I also worked as a Receptionist/Secretary in the Gender Mainstreaming Division at Makerere University. This role required me to handle administrative tasks, manage reception duties, and provide secretarial support to the division. Furthermore, I served as a Data Entrant in the Women and Gender Studies department at Makerere University. Here, I was responsible for data entry and ensuring the integrity of the information. During my career, I also worked as a Receptionist/Photocopier Operator at the Presbyterian Nursery School in Kampala. In this role, I managed the front desk, greeted visitors, and operated photocopying equipment. Prior to that, I gained experience as a Nursery Teacher at Nyaruhanga High School, where I provided instruction and care to young children, creating a nurturing learning environment. Additionally, I had the opportunity to serve as an Assistant Head-girl, which allowed me to develop leadership skills and contribute to the overall management of the institution. These varied experiences have provided me with a well-rounded skill set, including data entry, administrative support, receptionist duties, teaching, and leadership. I have developed strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities, which are essential in any professional setting.
