Biography

Professional Writer: Health Science Education and Communication • Over 30 years of experience as a professional writer-editor. • Past writer / editor for print, video, and internet programs and texts for primary care clinicians, produced or published by medical educational providers in the tri-state New York City area. • Much of the work involved teaching via writing-editing. • Collaborated with content experts, managing editors, video and Internet producers and production teams. • Attended press conferences sponsored by various groups. Corresponded with media representatives. Author or Co-author: Academic Scholarship, Nonfiction for Professional & Public Audiences • Academic journal articles and a book chapter on rhetoric, writing, and communication topics in the health / life sciences. • Journalism for public audiences on topics in preventive health and faith, spirituality, and health. • Medical alumni journal articles and newsletter reports about advances in biomedical research. Writing Professor • Over 18 years of experience as a writing professor across academic settings; worked with students in two liberal arts universities, one research 1 university, one health sciences university / academic medical center.
