Biography

Stephen Weppner was born and raised outside of Buffalo, New York. He received a bachelor of arts in physics and mathematics from S.U.N.Y. Geneseo and a PhD in physics from Ohio University. He joined the faculty of Eckerd College in 1997. His theoretical research consists in computations of the scattering cross-sections for collisions of nucleons (protons or neutrons) with nuclei. His research is done by using computer workstations available on campus and super computers located around the country. His hobbies include classical music and acoustics.
