Biography

Tiffany Burkhardt is a Researcher at Chapin Hall. Her work involves evaluation of support programs for children and families. She is currently assessing key outcomes for the Fussy Baby Network® Advanced Training of Healthy Families Illinois, evaluating the impact of the infant mental health based training on home visiting staff (including home visitor competence) and on program participant families (including maternal well-being). Dr. Burkhardt is also involved in an evaluation of the pilot Teen Moms Summer Jobs Program, assessing its impact on parent-child relationships and parenting skills and knowledge among young mothers, as well as the impact of social-emotional learning and cognitive behavior therapy on stress management, parenting self-efficacy, and other life competencies. Prior to coming to Chapin Hall, Dr. Burkhardt was a research and evaluation specialist for a parent-infant support program at Erikson Institute. She was also the research coordinator for a federally funded research study that examined child outcomes of persistent infant crying. Dr. Burkhardt holds an M.A. from the University of Chicago where she studied human development and a Ph.D. in child development from Erikson Institute and Loyola University Chicago.
