Biography

Teaching Experience: As an Army officer, my primary responsibility was to train soldiers. As a healthcare executive, ensuring our caregivers had the training and resources to care for our community was one of my primary responsibilities. I believe that my leadership style could be best described as a “teaching style” of leader. Now I am retired and can focus on the things I enjoy. Sharing my life experience with others through teaching is very exciting to me and how I wish to contribute to our community. Professional Experience: Prior to retirement, I was a dynamic senior healthcare executive with a history of success in for-profit and non-profit health systems through exceptional strategic and operational leadership. Very strong financial acumen coupled with a natural inclination for relationship building drives the strength to create and communicate common visions for new services, achieve consensus and move the organization forward to meet and exceed goals. Proven ability to partner with physicians to build and lead strong multidisciplinary teams and create a culture that fosters inclusivity, trust and respect resulting in greater physician engagement, alignment, and effective long-term physician relationships. Proven track record in leading successful start-up and turn-around operations.
