Biography

Dr. Torica Exume, who obtained her doctorate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, has a diverse background in working with individuals with various mental health disorders across ages of one to 60 years old. Currently, Dr. Exume leads multi-year projects for the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council (FDDC), serves on multiple national boards, teaches applied behavior analysis courses for the FAU's Department of Special Education as an Applied Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) verified instructor, and is the Vice President of the Council for Exceptional Children Division for Emotional and Behavioral Health - Florida Chapter (CEC DEBH-FL). Dr. Exume's areas of expertise include autism spectrum conditions, community-partnered participatory research, first responders' collaboration, dissemination and implementation of evidence-based practices, outcome measures, and racial/ethnic disparities.
