Biography

Zabrina’s research and practice explores the significance of integrating futures thinking and foresight with education system leadership. She coaches university faculty and administrators by employing foresight tools and systems thinking to enable her clients to broaden their approaches to decision making, problem solving, and envisioning possible futures. Dr. Epps’ research and writings have been published in The Journal of Futures Studies, Human Futures Magazine, COMPASS magazine, and the 3rd edition reader on Causal Layered Analysis (CLA 3.0). She has presented at the International Leadership Association conference in Geneva, Switzerland and at the World Futures Studies Federation’s (WFSF) 50th Anniversary Conference in Paris, France. Zabrina has more than 15 years experience as an advisor, instructor, and facilitator. She has been a professional coach for three years and recently launched Epps Foresight Advisory, LLC. to continue her research and practice of leadership coaching and advising. For more than a decade she has held elected and appointed positions on several boards of K-12 and higher education institutions. She was recently elected as the founding board chairperson of The Transnormal Institute. Zabrina also serves on the board of Teach the Future.org.
