**About Us** Arts Queensland, part of the Department of Education, is committed to building a strong and sustainable sector which supports the renewal and transformation of Queensland through arts, culture and creativity. We recognise the value of Queensland's diverse arts, cultural and dynamic sector and its delivery on the Government priorities including the [Queensland Economic Recovery Plan](https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/government-actions/our-economic-recovery-strategy). Arts Queensland is committed to ensuring integrity, accountability and consultation in delivering on our responsibilities and approach, and communicating outcomes. Arts Queensland is leading the implementation of [Creative Together 2020-2030: A 10-Year Roadmap for arts, culture and creativity in Queensland](https://www.arts.qld.gov.au/creative-together) across the Queensland Government in partnership with key stakeholders. **Our responsibilities** - Support the Minister for the Arts in setting the state government’s strategic policy direction for arts and culture in Queensland - Lead the implementation of [Creative Together 2020-2030](https://www.arts.qld.gov.au/creative-together), along with its action plans Sustain 2020–2022 and Grow 2022 - 2026, across the Queensland Government in partnership with key stakeholders - Facilitate delivery of the Queensland Government's arts and cultural priorities and administer government investment in funding programs and capital works programs - Oversee and report on the Queensland Government's investment in arts and culture and ensure the best use of public funds - Manage the state’s arts and cultural assets, including the Queensland Cultural Centre at Brisbane's South Bank; Festival House at 381 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley; Judith Wright Arts Centre; and Bulmba-ja in Cairns - Support the governance and compliance of arts companies and arts statutory bodies in the arts portfolio **Our approach** - Invest in all levels of the arts, cultural and creative sector, from independent artists to arts statutory bodies to foster opportunities for all Queenslanders to engage in cultural activity, attract visitors and creative employment - Partner across sectors to support creative-led initiatives which improve social and economic outcomes for Queenslanders and their communities - Support and maintain strategic cultural infrastructure across the state to support local industry, enliven communities and create employment - Demonstrate strong leadership that effectively manages resources and delivers superior frontline services in a complex and changing environment **Our outcomes** - An innovative and resilient arts and cultural sector - Queensland stories reflect the diversity of Queensland communities - Access to arts and culture for all - Increased involvement of First Nations peoples - Arts drive social and economic changes for Queenslanders and their communities - Queensland is known as a cultural destination and for its unique cultural tourism offerings.
