In 1924, a group of dedicated community leaders and volunteers came together with a common purpose to support their friends and neighbors in need. Since then, our work has evolved in response to changing community needs. Berkshire United Way is committed to helping make a positive difference in people’s lives, as well as to improve the conditions and break down the barriers that make it difficult for individuals and families to thrive. To make a difference, we believe in the collective power of our community – through our annual campaign, volunteer efforts, and convening nonprofit partners.
