Colorado Creative Industries (CCI) believes in the power of creativity to inspire human connections, create social change, and support economic vibrancy throughout Colorado. We focus on strengthening the vitality of visual, performing, and literary arts through promotion, resources, and funding opportunities. Our mission is to promote, support and expand the creative industries to drive Colorado’s economy, grow jobs and enhance our quality of life. The creative economy subgroups are design, film and media, literary and publishing, performing arts, visual arts and design, and heritage. HISTORY In July 2010, Colorado’s new Creative Industries Division merged the former Council on the Arts and Art in Public Places program to capitalize on the immense potential for our creative sector to drive economic growth in Colorado. Colorado Creative Industries sees a future where Colorado is a premiere creative economy. We strive to: - create a strong brand identity - be in the top 10 states for our creative industry - provide significant and sustained investment in the creative sector - help Colorado grow its own creative workforce - Based on a 2008 Creative Economy Study and input from the Creative Economy Advisory Panel, we established a strategic plan to identify outcomes, strategies, and implementation activities that will result in educational advancement, economic growth, and improved quality of life in Colorado.
