Vision
An inclusive community that understands and appreciates the life-improving impact of chemistry
The American Chemical Society (ACS) Committee on Public Relations and Communications (CPRC) develops and provides resources to catalyze the communication of chemistry to the public by ACS members and communities. Through science communication-related awards, programming, customized PR makeovers, and other activities CPRC strives to:
- Collaborate with ACS component groups to increase the effectiveness of their communication efforts.
- Celebrate successful practices in public engagement to serve as models and resources.
- Amplify the impact of science communication resources.
Who We Are
CPRC is an ACS committee with 25 members and associate members from academia, government, and industry, as well as liaisons who are dedicated to facilitating work across ACS units. We share a commitment to promoting and supporting effective science communication and to increasing public appreciation for the life-improving impact of chemistry.
