Welcome! The Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology is Division 53 of the American Psychological Association. Our purpose is to encourage the development and advancement of clinical child and adolescent psychology through integration of its scientific and professional aspects.
MISSION
Our mission is to serve children, adolescents and families with the best possible clinical care based on psychological science. SCCAP strives to integrate scientific and professional aspects of clinical child and adolescent psychology, in that it promotes scientific inquiry, training, and clinical practice related to serving children and their families.
HISTORY
The Executive Committee of Division 53 (SCCAP) has approved a proposal to establish a History Committee that will inform the membership of the past accomplishments of Division 53 and its earlier iteration as Section 1 (Clinical Child) of Division 12 (Society of Clinical Psychology).
