Foster environments for the people of Kentucky to value, participate in, and benefit from the arts.

Ends Statements

The ends statements speak to the purpose and vision of the agency’s work and are principled by what good, for whom, can be done at what cost. They guide the planning, programming, implementation and evaluation of all work of the agency. All of the ends statements have equal priority and are relevant to the mission developed by the board.

Kentuckians value the role of arts in society.

Lifelong education in the arts is encouraged.

Statewide delivery of arts programs and services is provided.

Artists live and work in a supportive environment.

Public policy at all levels supports the arts in Kentucky.
