About LEF
LEF is a private family foundation with offices in two regional areas: New England and California. Through the LEF Moving Image Fund, the New England office supports the creation of new work by documentary filmmakers living in the region, through an application process. LEF California identifies and funds projects proactively.
LEF Foundation was incorporated in California in 1985 and endowed by a gift made by its president, Marion E. Greene, and her family.
