**MISSION STATEMENT** **The Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB) is committed to ensuring the integrity and professionalism of the construction industry in Nevada. The NSCB has the responsibility to promote quality construction by Nevada licensed contractors through a regulatory licensing system designed to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public.** **FUNCTION** The Board’s role and responsibilities encompass several key areas: - **Licensing Qualifications:** The Board determines the qualifications of applicants before licensing, including written examinations, background investigations, and financial responsibility assessments. - **Licensing Conditions:** The Board sets conditions for licenses, such as field and scope limitations, bond requirements, and contractual limits. - **Regulatory Rules:** The Board is empowered to promulgate rules and regulations for implementing and enforcing the enabling statute, NRS 624. - **Discipline:** The Board takes action against licensees found in violation of the statute, which may include penalties, suspensions, or license revocations.
