NYU Center for the Humanities

The Center for the Humanities at NYU supports and advances humanistic research, teaching, and inquiry through innovative programming, institutional collaborations, and faculty-led initiatives. Drawing on the depth and energy of NYU’s exciting range of outstanding departments and programs, the Center provides a forum for cross-disciplinary discussion and collaboration in the humanities and the arts. **About the Center** Each year, the Center welcomes a competitively selected cohort of faculty and doctoral students for weekly cross-disciplinary exchange and mutual mentorship. It also funds faculty-led working groups, mentoring programs for graduate and undergraduate students, and book subventions. In addition, public programming—including lectures, workshops, and international conferences— extends the Center’s work to communities within and beyond NYU.
