We Build Evidence to Improve Lives. OPRE studies ACF programs and the populations they serve through rigorous research and evaluation projects. These include evaluations of existing programs, evaluations of innovative approaches to helping children and families with low-incomes, research syntheses, and descriptive and exploratory studies. We're Principled. OPRE is committed to the principles of rigor, relevance, transparency, independence, and ethics in the conduct of evaluations. The ACF Evaluation Policy governs our conduct and use of research as a federal evaluation office. We Support Responsible Data Management & Use. OPRE is dedicated to the responsible management and use of data to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of human services programs. OPRE provides expert advice to ACF on matters related to data use and reuse, privacy and confidentiality, and the sharing of information.
