The mission of the APA Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity Portfolio is to advance the creation, communication and application of psychological knowledge on gender identity and sexual orientation to benefit society and improve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people's lives.
The portfolio provides support and guidance to all aspects of APA governance on issues related to its mission and products and services to the APA members and others seeking psychological resources to promote beneficial change in society for LGBT people.
