PGE Foundation Improving the quality of life for Oregonians The PGE Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Portland General Electric. Founded in 1997, the foundation was created through an endowment with the purpose of improving the quality of life for all Oregonians. Since its inception, we have awarded more than $29 million to community organizations across the state. Through collaborative partnerships, our grants work to strengthen the community by empowering families, inspiring young people through creative expression, and establishing clear pathways to educational and career opportunities. In fact, in 2020 we joined with PGE to launch Project Zero, a social impact initiative that gives Oregon youth the skills and knowledge needed to create cleaner, greener more equitable communities. As a foundation dedicated to helping others, we champion values that embrace diversity, equity and inclusion. Working together with community members, partners and friends, we are committed to using our time and resources to help eliminate disparities where all people can reach their full potential.
