Sam Mazza Foundation

The Sam Mazza Foundation is a private philanthropic foundation established by the estate of our founder [Sam Mazza](https://www.sammazzafoundation.org/the-foundation/our-founder/ "Our Founder") in October of 2005. Since its inception the foundation has granted $7 million dollars to qualified §501 (c)(3) organizations who work to improve their communities through the arts, education, or addressing quality of life concerns. The Sam Mazza Foundation has its headquarters in Pacifica, California and is currently governed by a diverse [board of directors](https://www.sammazzafoundation.org/the-foundation/board-of-directors/ "Board of Directors") headed by Jeanette Cool, the foundation’s executive director. The Sam Mazza Foundation believes advancing the arts and arts education endows humanity to achieve its highest potential. We champion arts impact organizations whose innovative engagement with the communities they serve exemplifies clearly defined vision, action and goals. The Sam Mazza Foundation serves the community as a grant making institution and conservator of The Mazza Castle, in Pacifica California, a significant historical resource providing venue for the arts, fundraising for non-profit organizations and preservation of historical narratives of the Central California Coast.
