Description
Spectrum is the Stanford Center for Clinical and Translational Research and Education—bridging each stage of medical innovation from basic research to public health. Since its inception in 2006, Spectrum’s mission has been to transform clinical and translational research and education at Stanford and across the CTSA consortium. Our goal is to make our CTSA more effective and efficient at discovering and implementing data- and metrics-driven strategies to serve the health needs of individuals and populations. Spectrum’s programs in clinical and translational research and education have been designed to extend from the earliest stages of the translational pipeline to the “final mile” of implementation science at patient and population levels, and to take full advantage of the rich set of research and educational resources available across Stanford University. In the coming years, we seek to further leverage local and regional progress in team science, institutional strengths and resources, and multiple advancements to better implement the objectives of the overall CTSA program. In so doing, the Spectrum CTSA can nurture an innovative and collaborative workforce focused on identifying, optimizing, evaluating, and then transferring relevant health discoveries to patients and the community.
