About the STTARS Logo
Meet Jearica Fountain, STTARS Logo Artist
Jearica Fountain (Karuk Tribe and descendant of Nisenan, Pit River, and Miwok) is a dedicated Indigenous land protector and advocate for climate justice. Her logo design was chosen to represent the STTARS Indigenous Safe Housing Center. Jearica's artwork beautifully illustrates the concepts of safe housing and shelter access for Indigenous people, both on and off reservations. Through her design, she conveys the essence of “home” and “belonging” while reflecting the impact of climate change on Mother Earth. She skillfully celebrates the diversity and richness of Native cultures and traditions under the theme, “Safe Housing for All Our Relatives.” We deeply honor Jearica for her invaluable contribution to the STTARS Indigenous Safe Housing Center and for the powerful vision behind her logo.
