**Its a Movement, not a moment** United Way of Virginia’s Blue Ridge improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of people in our community. We’ve dedicated nearly a century to improving lives in our community, proudly serving the Cities of Roanoke and Salem, the Town of Vinton, and Botetourt, Craig, Franklin and Roanoke Counties. All of us deserve to have the best chance at a better life. **Who We Help** We focus our efforts on people who are the most vulnerable. Too many people are living paycheck to paycheck, unable to build a self-sustaining life. By 2030 our goal is to elevate 10,000 families in our region. This includes children, parents, grandparents, veterans, teachers, people experiencing homelessness and so many others. **How We Help…UNITED** Together with community partners, United Way connects people who are seeking assistance with resources, individuals and organizations who can help. Our work would not be possible without our generous corporate partners, committed individual supporters and the many non-profit and municipal partners serving residents in need. The more people who get involved, the more lives we can improve together.
