OVERVIEW - THE UNITED WAY OF STANLY COUNTY Established September 21, 1964 as Stanly County Combined Charities, our organization was officially chartered as the United Way of Stanly County, Inc. on June 30, 1978. We are proud to be a member of both United Way Worldwide and United Way of North Carolina for over 20 years, holding our agency to a standard of excellence and best practices to ensure that we provide our community with effective, efficient and relevant services. MISSION Our mission is to improve lives and build a strong community by uniting individuals and organizations with the will, passion, expertise, and resources needed to solve problems.
