Sections Offices
Public Affairs Section (PAS)
The Public Affairs Section (PAS) is the office which is primarily responsible for the public diplomacy efforts of the U.S. Embassy in Brazzaville. These efforts fall into two main areas, cultural and information affairs. The American Center is open to the public 2 days a week and offers a variety of free resources for independent study and research including books, periodicals and computers with internet.
The American Center also offers educational advising sessions by appointment and information on [study abroad](https://educationusa.state.gov/) .
The Villa Washington Lecture Series on Thursdays offers an opportunity for those interested in learning English to listen to talks presented by English speakers. Participants are given the opportunity to ask questions at the end of each presentation.
