The Department of Emergency Medicine is a premier provider of outstanding clinical, academic and research training in both Adult and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Our goals are to provide the highest quality care to our patients, offer an exceptional educational experience to our medical students, and engage in rigorous research to advance the practice of Emergency Medicine. This includes providing an inspiring and supportive environment which promotes academic endeavors, leadership development, mentorship, diversity, inclusion, and compassionate care. As a premier education and research institution, we prepare future leaders and practitioners of emergency medicine to function in a rapidly changing, increasingly diverse and extremely complex healthcare environment. Our portfolio of programs includes several residency programs and fellowships. We also offer a healthcare leadership and management scholars program, a medical student elective and a physician wellness program. We also strive to provide the most advanced emergency care, 24-hours a day, to more than 140,000 patients annually at our NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center and NYP/Lower Manhattan Hospital campuses.
