Description
ABOUT US The Department of Neurology is part of NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine, one of the world's leading academic medical institutions. The Department has been led by some of the most notable figures in academic neurology of the 20th century, including R. Foster Kennedy, Harold Wolff, and Fred Plum. Today we are consistently ranked among the nation's best providers of neurology care. We provide care based on the latest advances in medicine for a full range of neurological diseases and disorders. To achieve the most accurate diagnosis — the most essential component of care — we offer neuropsychological testing, neurophysiologic testing, neurovascular ultrasound, and sleep studies. Patients also have access to clinical trials assessing promising new treatments. Medical students, residents, and fellows benefit from highly regarded educational programs that prepare them for a career in neurology, with subspecialty training available. The Department has a remarkable record of training leaders in academic neurology. More than two dozen current and former Chairs of Neurology in the United States trained at Weill Cornell Medical College.
