**About HSC** The West Virginia Health Statistics Center (HSC), located in Charleston, WV, is an office within the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau for Public Health. Multiple units within HSC conduct a wide range of services. HSC is the State’s official repository of vital records (such as births, deaths, and marriages). HSC administers a statewide health survey and conducts analysis on the data obtained from vital records and the health survey to inform planning and policy.
