How Can I Generate My Research Interests

When Creating My Researcher Profile?

When creating your researcher profile, you will need to generate research interests - a set of keywords/phrases

that describe your research, in order to get grant recommendations tailored to your research needs.

Find more GrantForward support materials, including those referenced here, as well as Guides,

Administrator Tools, Tutorials, UseCases, and Webinars at GrantForward.com/support.

FIRST, tell GrantForward your publications and let us derive your research interest keywords.

There are three ways to tell GrantForward your publications: specifying your publication webpage, uploading

your CV, or manually inputting your publications.

1. Specify a Publication Webpage

The easiest way to upload your publications is to specify webpages that contain your publications at your

personal or institutional websites and GrantForward will then gather your publications from there and extract

your research interests.

Some examples of publication webpages:

Online Profile Page (e.g., Google

Scholar, PubMed, or ORCID)

Search Bibliographic Databases

(e.g., PubMed search by “Author”)

2. Upload a CV

You can also upload your CV and GrantForward will extract your publications from it to derive research interests.

3. Manually Input Publications

Additionally, you can pick and choose your publications by “copy-and-paste” from any formatted citation text.

While this is a more time-consuming option, it offers the chance for you to choose which publications will be

used to extract research interests for your profile.

SECOND, you can add more research interests by yourself.

In addition to using your publications, you can also manually enter your research interests that may not be

included within your current publications and indicate their importance at the Specify Extra Keywords section.
