Biography

Dr. Vatsa is working as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, New Jersey, USA. He also worked as an assistant professor at West Texas A&M University, Canyon, Texas, USA; teaching & research assistant at the University of Missouri – Columbia, MO, USA; and as an assistant professor for more than ten years in engineering colleges and a university in India. He was secretary (2019 - 20) and treasurer and webmaster (2021 - 24) of IEEE North Jersey Section, New Jersey, USA. He received a minor in Statistics, MS, and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Missouri – Columbia, MO, USA. He teaches courses in data science (Deep Learning, Big Data Analytics, Data Mining, Database Systems.) and cyber science (Blockchain Technology, Cryptocurrency, Applied Cryptography, and Firewall Configuration & IDS). His area of research includes applications of data science, cyber science, application of blockchain technology, computational biology, and bioinformatics. The working projects are in the area of Maize Phenotype, Melanoma Skin Cancer, e-voting Systems, Roosting Behavior of Birds - the Chimney Swift, and Characterization of Malware in Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
