Biography
Dan has over 35 years of experience in business, having held Senior level positions in quality and technical capacities for the last 20+ years. Half his career was spent in the food industry, the other half in filtration science, working for globally-respected companies that included H.J.Heinz Co. and 3M Co., along with holding principal positions in a small entrepreneurial company and a mid-sized filtration company. He is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, a Certified Toast Master Presenter, a 3M Black Belt trained Green Belt Coach, and has various teaching and consultation experiences such as an Adjunct Professor in the University of Bridgeport’s (UB) MS TCMG program, a Leadership and Diversity and Employee Engagement Trainer at 3M, 3M Business Compliance Leader and authorship of several technical conference papers on strategic technical management including 2017 NEDSI and DSI and 2014 ASEE conferences. Dan’s experience and functional leadership have supported his continual participation on several top-level companies steering committees over the last 23 years. Dan is currently a UB Industry Advisory Board member as well as a Board of Director member for the Bridgeport Child and Family Guidance Center. Dan received his B.A. Degree in Environmental Science from Eastern Connecticut State University an MBA in Operations from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, is a Ph.D. candidate from University of Bridgeport, and is a member of Sigma XI and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies
