Biography

Dr. Baecht currently practices as a CRNA with Hospital Sisters Health System Medical Group, specializing in Obstetrical Anesthesia. She also is an Assistant Professor and the Assistant Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Specialization at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) School of Nursing. She obtained her BSN from Barnes Jewish Hospital College of Nursing at Washington University in 2006, MSN-Nurse Anesthesia from SIUE in 2010, and DNP from SIUE in 2019. She has research interests in alternatives for opioid utilization in obstetrical anesthesia for the Opioid Use Disorder, clinical preceptor education, and mentorship in Nurse Anesthesia Training.
