Biography

As the Associate Director of Industry Research Development at UMBC, I work with the Corporate and Foundation Relations team to maximize research funding opportunities with new and existing corporate partners. I have a PhD in Chemical Physics from Johns Hopkins University that led to a post-doctoral position at NIH, and ultimately launched my career in industry - when I co-founding an analytical instrumentation startup. My return to higher education builds on business strategy roles at both startups and large multinationals. It allows me to satisfy my relentless curiosity while focusing on strong collaborations between industry and academia.
